🇫🇮 Finnish collective Besra presents outstanding debut album this year, and its depth is breathtaking indeed.
With all the bleakness and richness of glorious Northern doom metal, Besra creates bulky compositions around 10 minutes long, with unfolding plot and calm deviations which prepare us for intense blasts. Yet they easily exceed the genre and find themselves in a valley of prime post-metal.
In turn, “Anhedonia” appears to be very precise, accurately balanced album. Properly arranged themes are back-to-back and there is we’ve got anything to worry about. It’s a diving into the depth of human mind, told by four thorough stories.
No need to talk about loneliness and despair as you can go through it. Pass or get trapped. Who knows is this the end or just another step…
