🇩🇪 Late 2019 Rýr comes and bring a blast with them. “Left Fallow” is a broad nordic landscape gathered by vast compositions melting in each other.
Rýr appears to be a fresh band launched in 2018 in Berlin. Despite the short lifetrack, the band has already done with the debut album. And it is great! I’d say it’s multi-scenic, meaning that multiple scenes come one after another, and all sound organic and serious.
There’s a room for melancholia and light notes. In the same time, juicy riffs and harsh episodes take place. The recording is particularly clear, letting the guitar capture central place and the second guitar fill all the background where it’s meant to happen. The bass is robust here, no less are the drums.
Is everything said and done in post-metal? Rýr defy such a point and I’m definitely on their side.
