Vels Trio – Yellow Ochre (2017)

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Welcome to universe of Vels Trio where you will not find borders between jazz, funk and simply good vibes.

This trio comes from London with extravangant music which they create with the help of the keys, bass and drums. It’s altogether sounding intelligently while each tiny echo matters a lot.

On this album, you’ll also hear charming Shabaka Hutchings’s saxophone in “40 Point” – one of my personal insights of last year. I hope these guys will continue searching for new fields and instruments for their upcoming recordings.

It’s a great moment to squint and stop the caravanof thoughts. Let Vels Trio fill up some crannies of your conscious, exhale and get back. Yeah, “Yellow Ochre” is a good thing indeed.
