🇰🇿 🇬🇧 This is a story about one human-made tragedy, which has destroyed the great lake and its landscape.
Galya Bisengalieva is a modern composer and violinist, currently living in London and working with dozens of artists and creating solo works as well.
“Aralkum” depicts the fast transition of the watershed into the desert. The precious biotope has been dying, and now we face barren surface with dull salty sediments.
The violin is well known for its heartfelt effect, and in the talented artist’s hands it becomes an instrument to talk with a listener’s soul. The arrangements were thoroughly elaborated by Galya to create the special soundscapes grabbing you whole and delivering in between silent dunes. The sense of presence is multiplied by the field recordings, involved in this amazing album.
