🇺🇸 Aaron Parks is a prolific jazz composer based in New York. Aaron has been working thoroughly on the sound dimensions, extracting the sound out of the thoughts and sensations.
Little Big II is the continuation of the story that started back in 2018. The quartet stays the same: Aaron himself manages the variety of keys (piano, synths, Rhodes, celeste, vibraphone and others), Greg Tuohey (guitar) David Ginyard Jr (bass), and Tommy Crane (drums, percussion).
“Little Big II” represents the evolution of the band, the movement inside Aaron’s world with catchy melodies and unexpected passages. Brilliant selected rhythms are everywhere within the album. It’s so shiny, tiny and immense in the same time.
The first track literally charms a listener. It’s my favorite one, although the rest part of the album still has gems inside. And it’s not that hard to find them, just encounter one after another while listening to the compositions.
