🇨🇳 🇫🇷 This musical project gits us the essence of world music, selected melodies and chords ever found on our planet.

Samaga is created by Pierre Brahin, originally French composer and multi-instrumentalist currently residing in Beijing, China. His mates in this group are all Chinese. Pierre himself is a master of oud, Ma Zheng plays the sitar, Yang Dong’s instruments are darbuka and bendir, and He Kairan has a rich arsenal including riq, kalimba, kaval udu, and jew’s harp.

The quartet performs a wide spectrum of traditional music, rearranged in the unique way. Origins of their art lay not only in China, but in India, Middle East, Mediterranean, and somehow Africa as well.

I believe Samaga’s language is universal. You don’t need do be prepared for this music. It’s adventurous journey to the mystic world, where you’ll find enlightenment and inspiration.
