“Bathala” album is interesting one. Although it is no compromise, it is both heavy and melodic. I’d say Astodan has found a new dimension for experimental sound, in between rock and metal.

My favorite track on the album is “Likha”. I really like the way the drums appear and get the whole volume in the certain points. Need to mention that the whole composition is exceptional, not only the drums there. Black strokes and grey spots fill the magnetic soundscape. It’s terrific.

In the attempt to play epic and vast music, these guys address to abstract forms and open-ended themes. You can find yourselves drowned in such a kind of space…
