🇧🇪 Our goose is proud to welcome Tarmak’s ostrich (humanostrich would be probaly more precise term).
The debut EP from new Belgian band is so fresh that you should taste it immediately. Mainly instrumental, it is quite short. For sure, this release leaves a room for musicians’ further progress and evolution. However, even now Tarmak looks vigorous.
The first track, “Krater”, got my attention immediately as the guitar sounds really catchy and voluminous here. And the vocals! To me, perfectly fitting the music in each moment and each note. Well, I have to say that bass and drums by Trekpaard and Simon, respectively, are no worse. Good company for Sander who plays the guitar and sings in this band.
Further on this EP, you’ll not enjoy the lyrics, as the other tracks are focused on the collaboration of guitar and bass, seasoned by bass lines. The last piece called “Toton” is so concentrated and overwhelming, especially if you make it louder gradually. Wrapping up, Tarmak’s music is definitely enjoyable as the guys demonstrate a brilliant balance between progressive and experimental thoughts.
