🇰🇷 It’s time to catch deep vibrations and impulses emerging from two ladies’ hearts. Please welcome Dal:um!
It’s unique project from Seoul, South Korea. Two ladies, two traditional string instruments, gayageum and geomungo. However, what the duo makes with these tools is barely traditional.
Ancient sacred melodies and stories here are cut into particles and thrown like a paint onto the canvas. Experimenting with structures and volumes, the musicians go deep into the moment and stop the breath of time.
If you’d like to get familiar with dal:um music, I’d recommend the last track on the album, “The Collapsing Time”. And then you can return to the rest of the record, which is complex and extravagant material for a heedful listen.
