Sitar and psychedelic rock: why not? It seems a perfect match. Helicon absorbs a bunch of tunes in “West meets East manner and makes an experiment out of it.
Fragile nordic chants meet fuzzy guitar-driven waves. And right in the moment they resonate all the mystery fades out and there are only drums in the empty space…

This album makes enduring bright and calm impression. It’s like you got stuck in silence and then sounds appear one by one to wind up the ambience.

Fuzzy waves and self-improving reverb – these are instruments involved here. In matter, they are represented by guitars, bass, drum and keys (to be exact, cathedral keyboards). Common composition, but it sounds pretty unconventional.

My favorite is “Piure” which seems culmination of the album. However, it’s hard enough to split the whole record into separate patterns: they are all incorporated.

It’s time for purely bizarre goosebumps from Argentina!
What these guys do is they blow up your mind… gradually. Is it possible? I would thought it’s not: either you get blasted immediately or you are involved in the stream step by step. With Sur Oculto, we have a chance to be blown up all the time we listen to the album.
