Sitar and psychedelic rock: why not? It seems a perfect match. Helicon absorbs a bunch of tunes in “West meets East manner and makes an experiment out of it.

Once I’ve encountered “Big Balloon” on my way… And this juicy bass is still following me in moments of a rush, letdown or futility.

This album makes enduring bright and calm impression. It’s like you got stuck in silence and then sounds appear one by one to wind up the ambience.

Long-lasting and catchy, four tracks which transition from one into another and keep pulsing for a while after you finish listening.
My favorite is “Piure” which seems culmination of the album. However, it’s hard enough to split the whole record into separate patterns: they are all incorporated.

Evidently, Canadian band Metz brings out stunning stream of energy with their new album “Strange Peace”.
They keep refraining from any sort of cliche (even if they make some) and it’s nice when you have a chance not to find references and similarities. One may easily recall or search for something alike; for my opinion it’s way better just to jump inside the funnel and get flushed down.


These strange waves once ocassionaly met would pulse in your head again and again.
Being simple and even short-sleeve, some of Deamon’s Child’s tracks are fast enough while the rest slow down to noisy improvisation with unexpectedly raw finale. You have to think of what is not played and said though… and it makes sense.
