Cone of Confusion – Hominid (2022)

🇦🇺 We haven’t had music from Australia for a long while. So it’s time to make amends.

Cone of Confusion create strange spiral universe. You jump into the rabbit’s hole to open Pandora’s Box and spot an UFO. The miracle after the miracle, lurking here and there.

It’s a majestic coalition between the winds by Lillian Hearne and Adam Weisser’s vibraphone. Add various keys, guitars, electric bass, drums and percussion, a bunch of effects, some vocals, and you’ll get Cone of Confusion’s peculiar polyphonic style.

As for me, one of the best feelings about the music is a state when all the genres are left behind. In these moments the artists are flocking into their own continuum, with the listeners aboard. It’s a wonderful journey, and “Hominid” is exactly this case.
