What these guys do is they blow up your mind… gradually. Is it possible? I would thought it’s not: either you get blasted immediately or you are involved in the stream step by step. With Sur Oculto, we have a chance to be blown up all the time we listen to the album.

Straightforward and abrupt, self-titled album by Krzta outstands from typical-hardcore scene and worths listening (if only you’d like to get some goosebumps).
Krzta is a power trio from Poland (Olsztyn town). This year they issued a pithy jaw-dropping album that drew my attention so far.

“Nuit Noire” resides between melancholic post-rock and stunning post-metal, delivering you into depths of subconsiousness.
French band Lost in Kiev is not so often publishing their work, however the second piece appears to be so rich in sound that it exculpates the author.

Solid, elaborated and spectacular record from masters – If These Trees Could Talk.
Ohio (US) based band If These Trees Could Talk made a great step in exploring sound boundaries. True to their own style, clear and devoted, swaying back and forth from light and ethereal to heavy and stunning.

Great album of Polish band performing atmosperic post-rock.
These guys are creating audial space and filling it with melodies, pulsations and perpectives. And yes, portions of goosebumps appear after neat preparation for them – I think this is the benchmark of Tides From Nebula.

One of the albums that captured my neurons’ vibrations and didn’t let them fade away.

In my opinion, this album is for sure one of the best in 2017.
Australian band Menisus not so often records their works but they do invent masterpieces. For the moment I write these lines Refractions is the top one and each track is worthy of praise. The first, “Doom”, now associates with the band the most, when I think of Meniscus. Continue reading
