4. Acid Magus – Hope Is Heavy (2023)

🇿🇦 Two years after the “Wyrd Syster” album the band from Pretoria id back with another opus. It starts by meeting the huge beast rising from the deep. So is the music, which appears from the underground and collects the powers from the soil. It doesn’t hurry as there is a whole epoch to evolve and finally reach the skies. Catch the stream and glide upwards. In the very end of the trip, you’ll be able to see Trillion Tonne Sun. It surely worth it as it is one of the best tracks by the team so far.

5. Rezn & Vinnum Sabbathi – Silent Future (2023)

🇺🇸 🇲🇽 Two great bands dealing with the heavy sound this time join their efforts. Interestingly enough, once upon the time both of them independently appeared in our blog. No surprise, their collaboration is ever more than just a sum of two universes. This work collected the best features from two collectives but it differs from anything you could heard from them before. Characterized by way milder sound and thorough arrangements, these compositions indeed turn new page of the bands’ history.

7. Zen in Space – Between The Abstract (2023)

🇦🇺 In the middle of August, the story of this Australian electronic project is continued by this nice EP. Adam Jedda Ozana, who runs the project, shares his passion through five fresh tracks. They occur to involve both smooth and spiky textures. Mixing and splitting, they dance in strange cosmic movements, slowing down for a while. Hold your breath and feel yourselves under water or perhaps elevated in the midair. Don’t open your eyes and just imagine a bed of flowers which comes next. Can you get lost in it?

9. Dabda / 다브다 – Yonder (2023)

🇰🇷 The brigade of experienced arithmeticians and geometers from Korea continues to explore multidimensional space. They overcome limits and manage the progressions at ease. Their math is clear and not too abstruse, letting you smile and lift your spirits. This time the team is again faithful to the chosen course. Nothing extra, just “pastel psychedelia“. Although, there are also obstacles on their way. It’s not a problem as they are easy to overcome. Just listen to the songs and everything will be solved per se.

10. Hello Meteor – Traditional Dreams For January (2023)

🇺🇸 Our episode ends with an experimental piece coming from shiny Seattle. This is a sort of chronology irony. The title of the record alludes to the depths of winter although it was released in the summer. Then, the album was brought to us by a fair wind just in time for the beginning of winter. So the cycle is thus closed. This selected ambient music is equally good for both the cold season and the hottest days. This is probably the best choice to close our episode and move further.
