Black String โ€“ Karma (2019)

๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท This time we are heading to bright Seoul in order to meet the Black String collective, creating charming and mesmerizing music.

The quartet’s name refers to geomungo, traditinal Korean instrument known for the centuries. Alongside, guitar, flutes, percussion, and electronica make the set.

What you hear doesn’t need to be described. One can say that these guys play modern eclectic music with strong ethnic roots, meaning Korean folk culture involved into post-traditional experiments. Although the references to jazz, fusion, and rock take place, this music goes beyond stable genre determinations and fly high to the deepest skies.

Up to date, “Karma” is the latest release. Let’s keep calm and wish the next masterpiece soon.
