🇹🇷 🇸🇾 🇬🇧 🇪🇸 🇩🇪 🇺🇸 Danûk is a multinational project devoted to reincarnation of Kurdish traditional music.

This story begins in the very beginning of the XX century. Once a group of European explorers organized am cultural expedition to Mesopotamia. With a help of a phonograph, they made records of ancient traditional songs and tunes.

In next century, a collective of musicians from the Middle East now living in exile have unveiled these archived heritage and gave it a new life. The history thus makes its spiral.

Armed with a bunch of instruments, empowered by majestic vocals, Danûk presents their debut album which is full of gems. The ensemble was founded in Istanbul, Eurasian melting pot, by ambassadors of various Kurdish cultures. Since that point, the team has been investigating the past and the present of wonderful music and lyrics that they are happy to share with us.
