🇳🇴 A curious phenomenon on the Norwegian (and world) scene is worth your attention.
The team once began as a duet and grew into an octet. This evolution was accompanied by the expansion of the performing spectrum and the interests of musicians.
The latest Meer album turned to make outstanding pop music go hand in hand with soft prog rock. Moreover, it is quite difficult to distinguish where which of the components is.
The triumph of eclecticism is emphasized by the group’s rich instrumentation. The strings and the keyboards are finely combined with electric guitars and drums. And of course, the vocal parts performed by the Kippersund siblings are charming and touching.
The energy of this pop orchestra (as they call themselves) is dissolving in melodies and passages. A fresh breath of wind is found in each new composition. By the way, the name of the project refers to something aquatic, either a lake or an ocean. In the same time, one of the European languages has also another meaning, namely “peace”. Peaceful ocean of music, let’s say so.
