🇨🇦 The name of this Montreal based brass band refers to the “waiting room” (Salle des pas perdus in French), and if you translate the expression literally, you can get “lost steps”.
The team has been constantly evolving throughout its history, having from 6 to 9 members. Among the instruments, trombone, saxophones, trumpet and sousaphone stand out, with the drum set and percussion surely on board.
L’Orkestre actively involves various intonations in their compositions, whether pop, ethnic or alternative ones. It always sounds cheerful and incendiary, sometimes it causes pure joy, and it can make you wonder occasionally.
This particular album has marked more than fifteen years of the band’s creative path. It contains early studio recordings, previously unreleased and completely remastered. Thus, the source material swept rapidly through the entire existence of the orchestra and turned out to be both the very first and the freshest.
