🇧🇪 🇯🇵 🇮🇷 🇸🇳 🇲🇽 Today our musical goose brought us an album from Brussels, one of the capitals of world music.
In Brussels, the Auster Loo project once arose, joining the creative paths of percussionist Simon Leleux and flutist Lydie Thonnard. Successfully existing as a duet, the union continually involved famous musicians of various specializations.
Eventually, this year the success of Auster Loo was crowned with this release. Its title is a hint of versatility and originality. Indeed, in addition to the mentioned instruments, the ensemble has been replenished with voices that usually sound on different stages. In the group, Aki Sato plays the koto and shamisen, Shahab Azinmehr plays the setar, Bao Sissoko participates with his kora, and Osvaldo Hernandez enhances the percussion. Vincent Noiret and Céléstin Massot are responsible for bass and piano respectively.
Such a rich spectrum determines the breadth of the collective’s horizons and performing capabilities. It is also worth taking into account the vocal parts. They are distributed among different team members and rich traditions. It is a single field of composing and improvisation, plowed by different tools, organically working in conjunction. Enjoy the quality of this work and drown in wonderful melodies for a while.
