🇨🇳 Today we listen to rock from Southern China. The name of this group can be translated as “paddling pool”.
It refers to the real story of a backyard where future members of the group used to play as children. There was a puddle with tadpoles. Time passed and frogs grew out of them.
The musicians grew up as well and over the course of several years they collected enough themes to make their own album out of them. These songs are mainly about growing up and facing the metamorphoses that any “specimen” undergoes.
They tell about a world in which anything can happen, joy and sorrow, loneliness and an incendiary company in the backyard once again. The quintet sounds rich and original. It’s great that the “Froggies” don’t have an impulse to prove something to anyone. They are good in themselves, from the first track they fully declare themselves.
