Kune โ€“ Universal Echoes (2023)

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ซ ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡บ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ The idea of uniting artists from all over the world on one stage and in one musical caravan is always inspiring. There is something… universal in it, both human and natural. It is a search for harmony and pure art.

The title of todayโ€™s album is exactly about this. Echoes of different cultures met at one festival, then gathered in the studio, and eventually this wave captured a galaxy of talents from all over the world. This is how the New Canadian Global Music Orchestra was formed in Toronto.

Later on, the ensemble obtained the second name which appeared to be way more laconic, KUNE. It means “together” In Esperanto. They became together, the emigrants and ambassadors from Canada, Peru, Burkina Faso, Cuba, Ukraine and other countries.

In this orchestra, the clarinet coexists with the dizi flute, the kora is next to the oud and tar, and the darbuka meets the bongos. A grandiose cast reveals the freedom of creativity and transforms traditional plays into some kind of boundless celebration.
