Today we are observing some kinds of garage rock. Well, not precisely garage rock, as always in our ‘Out of” section. Each time we do not start from the middle. Rather from the distant segments we do.

1. Wall – Vol. 2 (2021)

🇬🇧 The first project in our mighty list is from Oxford, UK. The British know in detail the balance between heaviness and austerity. So these two brothers offer nice riffs, partly old school and partly really burning. Compact and energetic, the EP has five tracks. Each of them is indicating great teamwork as Ryan handles both guitar and bass while Elliot’s cup of tea is drumming. Among the songs, there is a surprise for Karma to Burn fans. Find out one of their remarkable compositions covered by the Cole brothers.

2. Zooid – Luck Of The Draw (2021)

🇦🇺 These lads serve soft rock’n’roll with acid, groovy and sometimes fat psyched stuff. Raw on purpose, their compositions remind best rock inventions of the last century. However, the arrangements turn to be pretty cool and promising. This is a debut EP by the Australian band. Rather short in total length, made up of four compositions. But each of them contains bright moments. For instance, the last one, when it all gets faster and you want to jump out of your pants. Test it yourself, and the wave is not long to wait.

3. Thunder Horse – Chosen One (2021)

🇺🇸 Let’s get some Southern passion. Thunder Horse has this stuff in abundance. For that, we should slow down and hold the breath. The deep violet horse is coming and taking us for a ride. We start right here, in the old garage with the rusty gates. And this trip leads us to the skies, rising to the heavens or halfway to hell, as you wish. We’ll listen to the old stories and spend some time in the secret tavern. Out hosts often make shows here it seems. One of these fests is our, and we appreciate being at the parterre this time.

4. Tekla Goldman – EP (2022)

🇵🇱 For the next portion of goosebumps, we are heading to Otwock, Poland. The local band Tekla Goldman is happy to present the brand new debut EP. The quartet offers fresh and mighty rock. It’s where kraut meets some punkish stuff but stays garage mode. My favorite track is the second one, entitled “Grzechotnik”. I would never guess that it means rattlesnake in Polish. However, it is no less poisonous, but in a good sense. It invades your neurons and makes them vibrating. That’s what they are meant for, aren’t they?

5. Snake Valley – Price Of Gold (2021)

🇦🇺 It’s time to whirl in a weird hustle. Snake Valley blends catchy rock-n-roll with post-punk influences and pours this mixture into selected garage rock. The Aussie quartet drives straight and drops the listeners off to an excited state where they are supposed to forget about their routine. The vocals, high pitched and even seeming exalted from time to time, fit this music in excellent way. Overall, intelligently organized mess, that’s what “Price Of Gold” appears to be after several listens. After the very first one, the same though!

6. The Lipschitz – Chevron (2021)

🇺🇸 The last act for today’s episode arrives at the Selected Goosebumps blog from distant Illinois. That’s a home for this duo and its dynamic rock. Rushing in a Brownian motion, the music however reveals its own patterns and laws. The first one is that you simply have to listen to it. Bumping like your heart, it is fast-release in its core. Now, wrapping up, we admit that we will be looking forward to new portions of goosebumps from The Lipschitz and all other heroes of the day! Stay tuned.
