Gordan โ€“ Gordan (2024)

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น It’s an immersion. It seems to me that this is exactly what happens. It’s a kind of interaction with the world, the reality or the art when the personal, originating from the โ€œego,โ€ dissolves.

It all becomes superfluous and insignificant. Some associations, comparisons, attempts to weigh and evaluate disappear.

This album is worth immersing into. Even if you donโ€™t know the language, perhaps you’ll recognize individual phrases and interpret them. It seems that there is something here that does not require knowledge of one culture or another. All of them have a lot in common and something unique.

In the Gordan project, the voice of Svetlana Spajic breaks out of the cramped narrow streets, sweeps over them and returns back to the lost souls searching for themselves. These souls are not only from different generations, but even from various eras. The souls have survived and experienced a lot in their lifetime.

Together with Svetlana, Andi Stecher and Guido Mobius create the narrative. There is something prehistoric and, on the contrary, โ€œtechnologicalโ€ about it. Gordan has no tendency to combine and connect. I’d say, their drums, bass and electronics create a special performance. It’s sensitive to traditions and at the same time it’s particularly experimental. Impressive and stunning, subtle and incredibly deep, something you really want to immerse into again.
