π²π½ Today’s album is an essence of feelings and emotions, overcoming the shackles that burden a person and their heart on the life path.
Mexican diva Magos Herrera is widely known in jazz circles and far beyond them. Collaborating with talented musicians from all over the world, she took part in dozens of interesting projects and released five solo albums before delighting us with this work.
In addition to composing, performing and collaborating, Magos has been a tireless producer, educator and social activist. Her vocals sound in three languages and are accompanied by both selected masters and wider orchestras.
On “Aire”, you will meet a palette of wind instruments (trumpet, flugelhorn, flute, oboe, clarinet and others), guitar, violins, harp, cajon, djembe… Both expected voices and the ones unobviously poured in the band’s sound. The rich material alternates between classical and improvisational themes, while the penetrating, deep and enchanting voice of Magos flies over the orchestra and sends goosebumps through the auditorium.
