The episode gathered four outstanding albums, all dealing with longing, melancholy and excitement. I guess it will resonate with your mood, as it occurs to enter these spheres from time to time.

1. Julia Sabra and Fadi Tabbal โ€“ Snakeskin (2022)

๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ง Collaboration between Lebanese sound constructor Fadi Tabbal and the voice of the Beirut based Postcard band, Julia Sabra, involves a wide range of technical means to create a special mood. It’s a sort of frustration, melancholia, despair and loss. This work appeared after a tragedy in Lebanon which caused major destruction and numerous deaths. In the same time, other events in politics and societies led to similar effect on ordinary settlers who lost everything but hope and heartbeat. This music is filled by these immediate feelings.

2. Massimo Claus โ€“ Imhotep (2022)

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น This is the case when one cannot easily recognize the origin of the sounds. Whether it’s a flute or duduk, or electronic tools, all is so touching and thrilling. Another thing, the theme of the album goes back to ancient Egypt, while its tragic force is still so modern and actual. I bet you’ll have your own portions of chills, surely not once.
