Welcome noise. More noise in all possible variations! No filtering allowed.
1. //Less – Social Disappointment (2023)

🇫🇷 The French power trio opens our episode. Black and white cover fits the record’s mood. These guys make it simple, just spreading straightforward riffs around. Interestingly enough, they even do not need a guitar for that. Two basses and drums are flawless match. Some raw punk carelessness and mild hardcore temper join together and immediately spin you. It evolves so fast and finishes unexpectedly by pouring you into shameless harsh noise, and that’s it.

2. This Is Wreckage – I Don’t Live, I Exist (2020)

🇬🇧 The trio from Cardiff delivers a powerful flow, enhanced by roaring bass, quick drums and hysterical vocals. You will hear bass and guitar in the same harness. They are not competing, but rather complementing each other. While keeping the good old-school sound, the group succeeds in involving acute topicality in the songs. All what they do is sincere and emotional, fresh and mighty. This is noise of direct action, without digressions and reservations. Ready to distort the air.

3. Netn – Netn (2022)

🇮🇹 Somewhere in the middle of Italian Piedmont, the next trio is operating, continuing our hit parade. Their self-titled release turns out to be multilateral. On the one hand, it takes the best from hardcore and alternative rock. On the other hand, the guys do not stop at the usual rhythms and go further, unraveling their riffs. Restrained hysteria, backed up by pedals, fits perfectly into the simple forms which they chose for the fastest interaction with the audience. And it’s worth it as you don’t need to complicate the things already complicated.

4. Ajeeb – Refractions (2023)

🇪🇸 Not only light might be refracted, but the sound waves as well. Cucho, Sara and Rafa mastered this technique to perfection. This album sounds more moderate and staid. It calms down in the middle and accelerates somewhat later, but not exceeding the speed. Accurate and intelligent, nevertheless still noisy and catchy. Here is a kind of noise frozen for a while, chasing its own refracted tail. It is all the more interesting to observe the diversity of the genre and the creative solutions of the adventurous Spaniards.

5. Jaaw – Supercluster (2023)

🇬🇧 What about the debut album by the supergroup led by Andy Cairns, the frontman of the famous Northern Irish band Therapy? In this reincarnation, the four wise veterans try something different. On the one hand, here comes the exuberant innovation of the 1990s. On the other hand, we face the post-anything of this decade. The proof of that there are only star names in the brigade is the mastering by James Plotkin. Another peculiar thing is the cover of Björk’s hit which completes the disc.

6. Flames of Foe – Flames of Foe (2022)

🇪🇸 Thick sound, fast tempo, sharp lyrics. The Barcelona trio does not stop for a moment. The debut self-titled album is spinning faster and faster. Their compositions are inherent visualizations. In almost every of them, the guys offer something to imagine and see for the sake of better acceptance of the themes. Both the guitarist and bassist perform vocal parts, which undoubtedly adds points to the overall standings. However, Dom Santoro, the band’s drummer, is not far behind in expressiveness.

7. Bullnose – Shore (2023)

🇺🇸 In Seattle, Jim Mathias’ project awaits us. It turns to be peppy, hardcorish and weighty. A well-chosen pace of somewhere in the middle of the scale allows to both accelerate and sometimes hold the horses. Therefore, artifacts of both beatdown hardcore and something resembling post-metal can be found in the single track. However, this is a solid noise, from which the legs strive to start dancing, and the ears itch rapidly in anticipation of goosebumps. It is better not to torment them and immediately start catching.

8. Kurvy Češi – We Are Family (2021)

🇨🇿 Our next participant from the Czech capital speeds up and unscrews the expression handle to maximum. You can sing about madness, you can arrange i. As you wish, in the studio, on stage, in life. This fast album is about the reality that we often try to ignore, each time neglecting something obvious. Here everything runs and screams, especially the lyrics and the ringing guitar that barely keeps up with the srtings. The drums are firing in one gulp along with the bass, which is persistently continuing the insane cross.

9. ...Freezer – I Do My Part by not Killing Spiders (2023)

🇦🇺 Mix a decent amount of punk, a handful of post-hardcore, just a little bit of shoegaze in one pot. What you are going to get is an excellent noise from the Australian city of Batemans Bay. They put a deer on the cover of their third album and I have no idea why. Emotional, high-spirited and unrestrained release for those of you who are young at heart and have heard a bunch of different things. Many echoes and memories, vague regrets and sincere joy, and finally a deer on board.

10. Marcel – Charivari (2023)

🇧🇪 Weird eccentric music, frivolous and serious at the same time. This is a debut work by the Belgians Marcel. Perhaps the most sticky songs in today’s episode, motley and flighty. Constantly changing sound and forms, referring to anything. Crazy potpourri: a phantom waltz, a weary variety show that seems to end with the soundtrack to your own funeral, with a “dedication” to Eurovision between bouts of tantrum. It’s all together, but not too much. Just like the say. And it’s never enough though.
